Hand out The Hunger Games books. Names in book in ink. Sign out sheet with the number of your book. Write condition of the book. Many of them are new.

QW: PROMPT #1: Popular Books --Books like The Hunger Games, Harry Potter have become nothing short of a cultural phenomenon. People of all ages have quickly become entwined in the stories and the characters that these books deliver. Why do you think that these popular kinds of novels have hit it big with mass crowds? What is it that people find so appealing in these types of books?

PROMPT #2: Friendship--Before you begin reading The Hunger Games, briefly write a little bit about what you think of the importance of friendship. What does it mean to be a good friend to another person? Describe an experience that you have had in which you really were there for a friend and helped them.
