HW: Fri: (1) Finish the first page of the topic sentence work, Packet #2.

(2) Spelling Unit 6. Spelling Unit 6, a review of units  1-5. Know all 50 words, but tested on 20. The words listed on p.34. Homework--proofreading exercises on pgs. 34, 35, 36, 37. Just write the words, spelled correctly.

Coming up: Thurs Oct 12 --Illustration of one key scene

Mon Oct 16--Put it all together in one final project

ENGLISH 8

• Finished reviewing “writing better thesis statements.”

• Essay Worksheet -- Focus and Thesis statement review/quiz Complete in class.
• Topic Sentences. Begin work on. (Hopefully this is review!)

HW: Fri: Start topic sentence work on p. 51. Read and do at least the first exercise on p. 51. (You can do more!)

Tues: Read Chapters 7, 8 & 9, which finishes Part 1. Start Part 2. Expect a quiz.
